Privacy Policy

Last updated: Nov 5, 2026

The Fathers' 3-10 app is a service of the Church Movements ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (aka “Cru”), founding member of the Campus Crusade for Christ International movement. The Fathers' 3-10 app is one of the family of websites, mobile apps, and other digital tools (“Digital Tools”) operated by ministries related to Cru and governed by the organization-wide Cru Privacy Notice (the “Cru Privacy Notice”). This App Privacy Policy (“App Policy”) supplements the Cru Privacy Notice and describes the data practices specific to the Fathers' 3-10 mobile app, including mobile-specific information the app collects that our websites may not. The Cru Privacy Notice governs all matters not addressed in this App Policy. If this App Policy conflicts with the Cru Privacy Notice, this App Policy controls with respect to app-specific practices; the Cru Privacy Notice controls in all other respects.

As a general governing principle, we collect only the personal data needed to provide, maintain, and improve the app. Much of the personal data described in this App Policy is information you optionally choose to provide, but certain information, such as your IP address, device information, and app usage data collected through analytics tools, is collected automatically when you use the app (see Sections 2 and 6). We share personal information only as described in Sections 4 and 5 of this App Policy and in the Cru Privacy Notice, for example with other parts of our Organization, with service providers that host and develop the app on our behalf, and with public or regulatory authorities where required.

This App Policy focuses on mobile-specific data practices and does not repeat the Cru Privacy Notice in full. Except for the app-specific account deletion and retention practices described in Sections 7 and 8, please consult the Cru Privacy Notice for our complete disclosures regarding: how long we keep your personal information (data retention); your legal rights under applicable privacy laws and how to exercise them; security; international transfers of personal information; the legal bases on which we process personal information; how to contact us; and how we otherwise collect, use, and disclose personal information.

1. Definitions of Terms Used

"Campus Crusade for Christ", "Cru", "we", "us", "our": these terms all equally refer to Campus Crusade for Christ and its affiliated ministries, including the Church Movements ministry that operates the App.

"App": the Fathers' 3-10 mobile application for iOS and Android devices, as made available through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

"Hub Policy" or "Cru Privacy Notice": the organization-wide Privacy Notice of Campus Crusade for Christ, which governs the family of websites, mobile apps, and other digital tools ("Digital Tools") operated by our ministries, including the App.

"Personal information" or "personal data": has the meaning given under applicable law in your jurisdiction and, as described in the Hub Policy, generally includes information that can be identified to you.

Capitalized terms used but not defined in this privacy policy have the meanings given to them in the Hub Policy.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Information about you that you optionally provide us when you customize your account in the app are your full name, birth year, email address, and password. Your full name is used as a label for your account. It may be seen by other users who you invite to the app. Your birth year is used for statistical purposes to understand the demographics of our users. Your email address is used as a unique identifier of your account, it is part of your login credentials and is where all our email communication to you is sent. It may be seen by users you invite to use the app. Your password is part of your login credentials. It is stored in an encrypted format that nobody, even we, can decrypt or thus read. Using the categories in the Cru Privacy Notice, your full name is identity data, your email address is contact details, your email address and password are security credentials, and your birth year is demographics data.

To further customize your account, you may optionally provide the given names, birth years and genders of your children. Given names are used as labels for your children's accounts to enhance the user experience. Birth years are used for statistical purposes to understand the demographics of our users' children. Genders are used for demographics and to enhance the visuals of the user experience. Under the Cru Privacy Notice, this information is identity data and demographics data relating to your children; see Section 3 below and the "Special rules for children" section of the Cru Privacy Notice.

You might also optionally provide personal data in the lesson feedbacks you store in the app. We don't use this data at all. We just save it for you, and make it available to you for your own reference.

Device and app usage data automatically collected. When you use the app, we automatically record and store your IP address and certain device and app usage information, including device model, operating system version, app version, device identifiers, crash logs and diagnostic data, and app interaction and usage data, such as screens viewed and features used, to better understand the demographics of and technologies used by our users. We also use this information to troubleshoot, maintain and improve the app. The Cru Privacy Notice treats your IP address as location data and information about how you use our Digital Tools as system data.

Device and in-app permissions. The app does not access features of your device, such as your camera, photos, contacts, notifications, or location. If the app is ever modified to enable the use of such features in the app, the app will access features of your device only if you grant permission through your device's operating system prompt, and you will be able to withdraw or change any permission at any time in your device settings. If you decline or revoke a permission, the app features that use your device features may not work.

Push notifications. The app may be updated to offer push notifications. If you opt in, the app may send you push notifications, such as reminders and app updates. You can opt in to or out of push notifications at any time in your device settings.

Location data. The Cru Privacy Notice treats IP address and latitude/longitude coordinates as location data. The app does not collect precise or approximate location data from your device.

Advertising identifiers. The app does not access your device's advertising identifier (the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or the Google Advertising ID (AAID)).

How we use this data. We use the personal data described in this Section 2 for the purposes described in the Cru Privacy Notice, in particular "to allow you to login and to access our Digital Tools", "to improve your experience of our Digital Tools", and to improve our tools, troubleshoot, maintain our systems and perform data analysis. For the legal bases we rely on for each purpose, please refer to the purposes table in the Cru Privacy Notice.

3. Children Under the Age of 13

Our mobile app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The limited information about children described in Section 2 above (given names, birth years and genders) is optional and may be provided only by a parent or legal guardian who is the account holder; by providing it, the parent or guardian gives permission and consent for us to collect and use that information solely for the purposes described in Section 2. If you are under 13, please do not provide any information in our mobile app. Parents and guardians may review, edit or delete their children's information at any time in the app, and have the right to request at any time that the information collected about their child be removed from our database, either by using the deletion options described in Section 7 or by contacting . No child’s name, birth year, or gender is shared to third parties or used in analytics. If we discover that we have accidentally collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will delete it from our records as soon as reasonably possible. For the full rules that apply to children's information across all of our Digital Tools, please see Section 12 (Special rules for children) of the Cru Privacy Notice, which governs where this section is silent. The app is not designed for or directed to children but, rather, for parents and guardians to use with their children, so the app is rated as appropriate for children [Ratings: Google PEGI 3, Apple 4+].

4. Who Has Access to Your Data

Your password is not accessible by or shared with anybody. Not even we can access it. It is stored in an inaccessible encrypted format. Your name and email address may be seen by users you choose to invite to the app. Generally, we will not disclose or share the information you enter in the app with anyone outside our Organization without your permission. However, as described in Section 5 below and in Section 5 ("How/when we disclose personal information") of the Cru Privacy Notice, your information may be disclosed to other parts of our Organization, to other Campus Crusade for Christ International ministries, to public or regulatory authorities, and to third party service providers that host, develop, or support the app (such as GoDaddy, BCW, and Google Analytics).

You can edit and delete the data you entered directly in the app through Settings > Account. If the app does not give you the option to edit or delete particular information yourself, or if you wish to exercise any other rights you may have under applicable privacy laws (such as access, deletion, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent), please email as described in Section 6 ("Your Rights") of the Cru Privacy Notice, which governs how those requests are verified and handled.

5. Third Parties

We physically store all the data we collect on secure servers at GoDaddy Inc. Being the fundamental hardware provider for our services, GoDaddy has the technical capability to access any of our stored data, but under what circumstances they may do so is very strictly limited by law, the GoDaddy Legal Agreements and Policies.

The Fathers' 3-10 mobile app and website are being developed by the Best Company of the World Ltd. (BCW), a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant company. During the development of our services, BCW necessarily may come into contact with our stored data to the extent required to fulfill their assignments. Our data processing agreement with BCW strictly limits their access to the data, forbids any copying of the data for any reason, and specifies strong standards BCW, its employees and its subcontractors must comply with. BCW is located in Hungary. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the international data agreements containing Standard Contractual Clauses described in Section 7 ("International transfer of your personal information") of the Cru Privacy Notice.

In addition to the providers above, the app uses the following third party services and software development kits (SDKs): Firebase/Google Analytics and Crash Reporting. These SDKs do not collect or receive personally identifiable information from the app, as further explained in Section 6 below. As described in Section 5 of the Cru Privacy Notice, we have contractual provisions requiring our third party service providers to respect the security of your personal data, we do not allow them to use your personal information for their own purposes, and they may only process it in accordance with our instructions.

6. Cookies, Tracking Images, SDKs, Analytics And Other Technologies

The app does not use our own cookies or tracking images to track you. Within the mobile app, we use the third-party software development kits (SDKs) and analytics tools described below.

We partner with Firebase Google Analytics / GA4 to allow tracking technologies in our mobile app in order to analyze and track the usage of our services, determine the popularity of certain content, understand the demographics of and technologies used by users, and better understand online behavior. We do not provide Google with your name, email address, or other account information you enter in the app; however, Google Analytics automatically receives device and usage data when you use the app, such as app instance identifiers, device model, IP address, operating system version, app version, crashlogs and diagnostic data, and in-app interaction and usage data, namely, screens viewed and features used. We encourage you to review the Google Privacy Policy and the Privacy and Security in Firebase documents.

Apple App Tracking Transparency. We do not use the app to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, as "tracking" is defined by Apple, and therefore the app does not display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Advertising identifiers. We do not collect or use your device's advertising identifier (the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS or the Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android).

App store privacy disclosures. The privacy information shown for the Fathers' 3-10 app on its Apple App Store product page (App Privacy label) and in its Google Play Store Data Safety section is intended to be consistent with this privacy policy and with the Cru Privacy Notice. If you notice any inconsistency, please contact us so that we can correct it.

7. Deleting Personal Information, User Controls and Your Rights

You can request the deletion of your personal information at any time through the mobile app or our website. You can initiate deletion directly within the app by clicking Settings > Account > Delete. Deleting your account deletes your account and the personal information associated with it that you provided in the app (including your name, birth year, email address, password, your children's details, and your lesson feedback), subject to the limited retention described in Section 8 (Data Retention). Uninstalling the app does not delete your account; to delete your account you must use the in-app option or the link above.

7.1 User Controls and Withdrawing Consent

You can manage how the app collects and uses information about you at any time:

(a) Device permissions: the app does not use your device features, such as notifications, location, camera, photos, or contacts; if that ever changes, the app will not use such features without obtaining your permission first, and you can review and revoke any permission you grant to the app in your device settings (on iOS, under Settings > Fathers' 3-10; on Android, under Settings > Apps > Fathers' 3-10 > Permissions). Revoking permission will limit the features of the app that need access to device features to function.

(b) Push notifications: The app may be updated to offer push notifications. If you opt in, the app may send you push notifications, such as reminders and app updates. You can opt in to or out of push notifications at any time in your device settings.

(c) Analytics and tracking: Google Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information through the app, only the app activity information described in Section 6. We do not use the app to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

(d) Uninstalling: you can stop all further collection of information by the app by uninstalling it from your device; uninstalling does not delete information already collected or your account (see above).

(e) Withdrawing consent: where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, as described in Section 6(g) (Withdrawing consent) of the Cru Privacy Notice. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal and may mean we cannot provide some app features.

7.2 Your Rights

This App Policy relies on Section 6 (Your Rights) of the Cru Privacy Noticy, for the full description of your legal rights, including your rights to access your personal information, to edit and update it, to request its deletion, to object to certain types of processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to file a complaint with a data protection authority. Those rights apply equally to personal information collected through the Fathers' 3-10 app, and you should consult the Cru Privacy Notice for the full details of each right and when it applies. To exercise any of these rights in connection with the app, please email ; we may verify your identity before responding to your request.

8. Data Retention

When you delete your account, we do not immediately remove your personal data. Instead, we retain it for up to 30 days to troubleshoot technical issues or resolve problems related to your account; to allow you to restore your account if you change your mind during this period; and to comply with our legal obligations, including investigating fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or responding to valid requests from law enforcement or other competent authorities. After the 30-day retention period expires, your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with you. We may retain anonymized IP addresses and device information for troubleshooting purposes, and to better understand the demographics of and technologies used by our users; your personal data is not retained indefinitely and remains subject to the general retention limits described below. Apart from the app-specific retention rules in this Section 8, our retention of your personal information is governed by Section 10 (“How long we keep your personal information”) of the Cru Privacy Notice, which you should consult for our full retention disclosures. Under that policy, we keep your information as long as it is needed to achieve the purposes described there and for the time necessary to meet any legal, tax, or reporting requirements, generally for up to 7 years after your last interaction with us, and we may keep it for longer for legal, technical, or statistical reasons while continuing to protect your privacy. If you delete your app account, the 30-day post-deletion period described in this Section 8 applies to your app account data, except where a longer period is required for the legal, tax, reporting, or other purposes described in Section 10 of the Cru Privacy Notice.

Security. We protect the personal information collected through the Fathers' 3-10 mobile app using the technical, administrative and physical security measures described in Section 8 (Security) of the Cru Privacy Notice. Consistent with those measures, your app password is stored in an encrypted format that cannot be read, even by us. Please consult Section 8 of that Privacy Notice for our full security disclosures, including how we respond to a suspected personal data breach and the limits of any security measures.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you have any complaints regarding our compliance with this privacy policy, you should first contact us. We will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, please contact a Christian mediation and arbitration organization. You may also contact your local data protection authority for assistance or to make a complaint at any time, as described in Section 6(h) of the Cru Privacy Notice.

10. Future Changes to the Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our services or to satisfy legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes in the way we treat your personal information and how those changes are likely to impact you by prominent notice within the mobile app. The date of the last update will be prominently published in the first paragraph of the privacy policy in the mobile app. Any changes to this privacy policy will become effective upon posting of the revised privacy policy in the app. Use of our mobile app and/or providing consent to the updated privacy policy following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised privacy policy then in effect. This privacy policy supplements the Cru Privacy Notice, which may be updated separately from this privacy policy; the current version of the Cru Privacy Notice, applies to your use of the mobile app and governs the matters this privacy policy refers to it.
